GAMIAN-Europe GAMIAN-Europe (Global Alliance of Mental Illness Advocacy Networks) is essentially a pan-European patient driven federation of national organisations across Europe assisting people affected by mental illness, either as a sufferer or as a carers. We operate within the WHO European area and cover the whole range of mental illnesses. Some of the national organisations are disease specific, whilst others are umbrella groups covering the whole spectrum of psychiatry in their country.
Our mission: education, awareness, advocacy, and anti-sigma campaigns, in order to improve the quality of life of mentally ill people together with their families.
